![]() On 14th March The Embassy of India in Seoul in collaboration with the Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) organized India Evening to promote the plastic sector of India and also to extend the Invitation from the upcoming PLEXCONNECT 2023 scheduled on June 15 – 17th in Mumbai, India. Mr. Swapnil Thorat, Commercial Attache, Embassy of India in Korea gave an outline for the Export-Import between Korea and India and the Plastic sector in particular. He emphasized the opportunities available to Korean Importers in the Plastic sector. Mr. Anil Sinha, Chairman of ICCK and COO & vice President of TATA Daewoo Commercial Vehs addressed India’s growth in Plastic Exports which grew 60% and stood at $6.38 Billion in 2022. He also mentioned that South Korea has one of the world’s highest per capita plastic consumption rates. He mentioned that Korea has well-developed waste collection and recycling services; which can be another opportunity for Indian Importers. Mr. Sribash Dasmohapatra, Executive Director, The Plastics Export Promotion Council of India shared details on the growth of the Plastic industry in India and how the export of Plastic raw matl and derivatives are growing in recent years. Korean business houses can gain from importing Plastic raw matl import from India; which has developed world-class manufacturing facilities for Plastics.
