On 12th December Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) in collaboration with the Embassy of India in ROK, Invest UP & FICCCI organized the “Uttar Pradesh Investment Roadshow” and G2B Meetings, This delegation was led by Shri Ashish Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Technical Education, and Shri Jaiveer Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism & Culture, it was a full-day event along with the B2G meeting with Korean companies who are looking to invest in the State of Uttar Pradesh. The Roadshow started with the Opening Remarks by H.E Mr. Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to ROK. He emphasized the strategic partnership between both countries for peace and prosperity and economic reforms. It was followed by the Key Note Address of Mr. Jaiveer Singh, Hon’ble Tourism Minister of UP. Honorable Minister underlined, the new tourism policy of Uttar Pradesh and also notified 25 policies recently for various sectors to promote business and investment opportunities in the State, with its large consumer base of more than 240 million of the population and with its abundant manpower and availability of world-class infrastructure in the State. Special Remarks by Mr. Anil Sinha, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK), highlighted Chamber's vision and valuable role in the economic development and trade promotion between both countries. Presentation by Mr. Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of UP, and Mr. Arun Vir Singh, CEO YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) showcased the opportunities in the state of Uttar Pradesh in various sectors such as MSME, Pharma and Healthcare, Defence & Aerospace, Electronics, Handloom & Textile, IT Sector, Renewable Energy, Agro & Allied, Electric Vehicle & Logistics. There was a separate presentation on the Defense Sector as Uttar Pradesh has a dedicated Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor for companies likely interested in the Defense sector. Hon'ble Minister Shri Ashish Patel concluded the event by extending the invitation to the Korean Companies for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (UPGIS) 2023 scheduled from 10-12 February 2023 at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
