ICCK and WICCI (SKIBC) signed a MOU on Friday, October 29th 2021. Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) joined hands with Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI), South Korea – India Business Council (SKIBC) on Friday, October 29th 2021, to support both the parties in any social and economic areas that will benefit the economic, educational, cultural, commercial, and industrial activities.

 

At this MOU ceremony, 8 people were present including Mr. Sachin Satpute, Chairman of ICCK (President of Novelis Asia) and Mr. Surinder Bhagat, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Mr. Swapnil Thorat, Second Secretary (Commerce), Embassy of India, Mr. Jungyoon Yang, Acting Secretary General, ICCK, Mr. Ashutosh Singh, Manager, ICCK, Ms. Neeti Virmani, President, SKIBC-WICCI, Ms. Asha Kothari, Vice President, SKIBC-WICCI, Ms. Jinha Mahima Kim, Council Member, SKIBC-WICCI.

Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI)  is an industry and business chamber that works closely with the governments, other chambers, corporates, universities and diverse stakeholders across India and Internationally, toward empowering local and global ecosystems in support of women’s enterprises and businesses. Currently WICCI has the collective strength of 250,000+ members across 120+ countries.

 

The purpose of the MOU is to encourage exchange and cooperation between the ICCK and WICCI in economic & social areas to promote business to business linkage activities & facilitation program between business communities of the both organizations. Promote cooperation & facilitation of in-bound, out-bound business missions, trade fairs, exhibitions, business summits, webinars, & trade conferences, at local, global, bilateral or multilateral levels as possible. Cooperation by ICCK & WICCI to assist their members towards building exchange via conferences, summits, workshops, webinars, forums initiated by ICCK and WICCI. Also strive to exchange & disseminate information & publications especially on gender empowering policies, government schemes, commercial practices, national and international policies pertaining to trade and investment towards empowering women entrepreneurs.

 

The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK), officially launched in January 2010, is working with the Embassy of India to ROK and the Indian government to promote economic development and to improve the quality of trade between Korea and India. Also, ICCK supports the growth and development of its member companies by providing useful information related to trade and investment and by holding various events 20 times a year such as seminars, B2B/G2B meetings, networking events, roadshow and delegation camps to India.
