The South Korean techie announced its flagship of the year - Galaxy S8 and S8+ on March 29. Following its long ritual, Samsung has always unveiled its flagship in India soon after the global release. The company does the same with S8 smartphones as well.

Samsung just the other day on its official India Twitter handle confirms the coming of the flagship smartphones in India. The tweet reads as follows: "India, get ready to #UnboxYourPhone! Samsung #GalaxyS8#GalaxyS8Plus, India launch on 19th April, 2017." This leaves no stone unturned, and confirms that both Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are going to finally hit the Indian shores on Wednesday, April 19.

The smartphones have already been made available for pre-orders in US and South Korea, and there's no doubt that both the flagship devices received really warm welcome. Following these countries, the smartphones were also put up for the pre-registration in India, on the official Samsung India website home page.

No details on which variant of the smartphones will hit the Indian shores have been revealed as of date.  However, a few media reports suggest that the version with Samsung's own 3GHz Exynos 8895 processor will hit most of the regions, including India. So, just in case you're expecting Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC, you might take a set-back for the time being. However, you never know what the South Korean tech company has in store for its Indian market.

The company is holding on high expectations with the two flagships. This being said, Samsung a few days ago itself revealed that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is proving to be the most popular flagship by the company. And will probably beat the highly popular Galaxy S7 and S7 edge that were announced last year. Other reports show that nearly 55000 units of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in just a matter of two days.

Specification wise, S8 will boast a 5.8-inch screen, while S8+ packs a 6.2-inch screen paired with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both the Galaxy S8 smartphones come loaded with a wide range of other features like - Samsung Bixby, biometric technologies, Samsung DeX and much more. Furthermore, the devices juice its power from a decent 3,500mAh battery, while S8+ includes fast charging on wired and wireless as well. Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are powered by Qualcomm's latest processor - Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz.

S8 phones also include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via an external microSD card. Further, running on Android 7.0 Nougat, on the camera front, the smartphones packs a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and aperture f/1.7 and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with smart autofocus.

No details on the price tag at which the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be available in the Indian market. However, predictions are such that the smartphone maker will be following the same legacy ritual and the devices will be priced pretty much similar to the one at the official launch. Just to recall, Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched at a price of $720 (Rs 46,753), while S8+ was announced at $840 (Rs 54,545). So, India price of the devices can probably be quite similar to this.

About Xiaomi Mi 6, the smartphone is going to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC and run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone is further expected to come with 6GB of RAM.
