[ICCK] Rising Rajasthan Investment Roadshow in Seoul, South Korea

[ICCK Event] On September 9, 2024, over 100 business leaders gathered at the Lotte Hotel Seoul for a successful roadshow aimed at attracting investments to the state of Rajasthan. Jointly organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK), the Embassy of India in Seoul, and the Government of Rajasthan, the event showcased Rajasthan's immense potential and sought to foster stronger investment partnerships between India and Korea.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, was in attendance, along with Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Prem Chand Bairwa, and Principal Secretary, Ajitabh Sharma, IAS

In his opening remarks, Mr. Ramesh Iyer, Chairman of the ICCK, highlighted Rajasthan's rich history, culture, and abundant investment opportunities across sectors such as renewable energy, textiles, tourism, IT, and agriculture. He also emphasized the proactive policies of the Rajasthan government to attract investors.

H.E. Mr. Amit Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to Korea, underscored India's sustained economic growth and expanding domestic market, presenting new opportunities for Korean businesses.

Following this, Mr. Ajitabh Sharma, IAS delivered a detailed presentation on key industries and the compelling investment prospects in Rajasthan's automotive, petrochemical, tourism, and agro-processing sectors.

In his speech, Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma invited South Korean investors to actively participate in the Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024 in Jaipur. He emphasized Rajasthan's robust economic growth, favorable policies, and diverse opportunities, while highlighting the deep cultural ties between Korea and Rajasthan as a foundation for long-term, prosperous partnerships.

This roadshow offered Korean businesses a fresh perspective on investment opportunities in Rajasthan. With its attractive investment environment and growing cultural exchanges between India and Korea, both nations anticipate significant contributions to their economic growth.
