Novelis Asia announced on April 6 that President Sachin Satpute participated in the “Road Safety for Children Relay Challenge” to prevent children's traffic accidents and create a safe traffic environment.

 

The “Road Safety for Children Relay Challenge” is a campaign launched by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in December last year, and was designed to build a public consensus on the prevention of traffic accidents in child protection zones and to establish a culture that prioritizes child protection. It is developed in a relay method that a challenger points out the next participant after sharing photos on social media with children's traffic safety slogans selected through the national idea contest.

 

President Sachin Satpute participated in the challenge after receiving a nomination of CEO Bae Ha-joon of OB Korea for his ties to "Can Crush Challenge," a public campaign launched in 2020 to promote the right way to recycle used aluminum beverage cans. Mr. Satpute posted the road safety slogan on social media with hashtags such as #Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge. He appointed the next runner to the challenge was Hwang, Goo-Yeon, CEO of Dong-Il Aluminum, Lee Hak-Yeon, CEO of Aju Steel and Yoon SooHyun, CEO of DS Liquid.

 

President Satpute said "Novelis is operating with the Purpose ‘Shaping a Sustainable World Together' in the center of our business. I joined the campaign to help establish a safer road environment for future generations, the owner of a sustainable world.”
