[MOU] ICCK signs MOU with Incheon Port Authority

Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon Port Authority (IPA) with effective from 6th April 2018 at the Embassy of India in Seoul.

 

On hand at the signing ceremony were Mr. Parth Sharma, ICCK Governor, Mr. Shyam Paliwal, ICCK Governor, Mr. Vasudev Tumbe, ICCK Chairman, H.E. Vikram k. Doraiswami, Ambassador to RoK, Mr. Bong-Hyun Nam, President of IPA, Mr. Young-Whui Song, Team Manager of IPA, Mr. Hwijae(Herbert) Lee, ICCK Secretary General.
The   main   objective   of  the MOU is  to   build   a   cooperative   system   between   two   parties   and cooperate to connect business in Korea and India.                                                                                     
The main contents are as follows; Firstly, ICCK and IPA act as a bridge –building between two countries and providing strategic information, in terms of investment business  and national projects. Secondly,  two parties can share   useful   information   such   as   newsletters,   press   release,   and   Bulletin.   Lastly,   two   parties promote their activities with mutual consent to its members and associated organizations.
Through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), two parties hope to enhance the partnership,to increase the volume of bilateral trade between Korea and India. IPA also would like to set up a direct vessel from Incheon Port to India in near future and ICCK will support the project.
Mr. Vasudev Tumbe, Chairman, commented:“India is one of the fastest growing large economies in the world and bilateral trade between India and Korea, increased by  more   than 25% in 2017.
With the  signing  MOU   with ICCK,Incheon Port   Authority  is   now   poised to  participate   in   this growth story and  will   facilitate enhancement of India Korea trade going forward.”
From February 2010, Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea and Embassy of India collaborated with each other to help both Indian companies and Korean companies for entering India or Korea markets, offering useful information. Therefore, it serves as a momentum for improving both parties’ status and making India and Korea, having a close connection.
